    UPDATE: Man pleads not guilty in animal cruelty case, banned from animal contact

    UPDATE: (9/3/21 11:23 A.M.) – Timothy Lorraine has plead not guilty during his arraignment Friday morning. According to the Pulaski County Court, Lorraine was also assigned a public defender. His bond has been set at $2,500 at 10%. The reasoning for this was a pre-trial risk assessment indicated he is a low and moderate risk to reoffend or fail to appear. The judge issued that Lorraine is prevented from being in contact with any animals or reptiles. The Department of Fish and Wildlife and Animal Control will monitor his compliance. His pre-trial conference is set for Sept. 15 at 11

    Animals in need after Hurricane Ida

    People and animals are in urgent need in the aftermath of Hurricane Ida. The catastrophic Category 4 hurricane pounded the state with maximum sustained winds of 150 mph; it left more than a million without power, destroyed homes and cut a path of destruction across multiple parishes. People are left struggling without power, supplies or gas in the aftermath of the storm. “The situation is urgent for everyone, and that includes animals,” says Jeff Dorson, Executive Director of the Humane Society of Louisiana. “There is widespread suffering, devastation and great need here across multiple parishes.” The Humane Society of Louisiana

    More than 1,800 animals rescued from Caldor Fire

    PLACERVILLE, Calif. (KTXL) – It’s not just tens of thousands of people who have been displaced by the Caldor Fire, more than a thousand animals left behind by fleeing families were also evacuated.  Joanie Marinelli got the call to evacuate on Aug. 17. “I had already loaded my horse and brought her somewhere safe. But we didn’t have time to bring the emu, and the seven chickens and the two goats with us,” Marinelli said. “My horse and my dog are really important to me, but my farm animals are equally important, but so it was hard to leave them.

    The Dutch company has established three distinct business groups. DSM will begin reporting according to this new structure from January 2022.
