This “Grinch” cat requires princess-level pampering, no kids and will yell at you if her demands aren’t met. And she just got adopted.

All an adorable fluffy cat in Kansas City, Missouri, wanted for the new year was a new family — who would meet her exhaustive list of demands. Now, the white Persian has a new home willing to do just that.  Kansas City’s Whiskers Cat Cafe, a coffee shop and cat adoption facility, first posted on Instagram about the unnamed feline, whom they dubbed the “Grinch,” on December 8, saying that she is a “princess” who “has demands” and “is not afraid to say them loudly.”  “Under no circumstances does she wish to meet or live with another animal. It’s absurd

(VIDEO) Dog Goes Wiggle-Happy Reuniting With His Soldier Mama Returning From Six-Month Deployment | Lost Coast Outpost

Nolyn the dog reunites with owner Keanna Torres. | Screenshot. ### One of Keanna Torres’s main goals when she joined the Army was that she’d never have to find a new owner for her beloved Nolyn, a handsome and spirited mutt she’d rescued in 2013 after he was found eating from a dumpster in Nevada. Her nightmare scenario almost came to pass earlier this year. Just weeks before her scheduled deployment, the arrangements she’d made for Nolyn’s care collapsed.  “Multiple people fell through on me,” she said. “I was frantically calling all kinds of

Cats caused 100 house fires in 3 years by stepping on the stove

Cats may have nine lives — but your house only has one. Pet owners around the globe are being warned that their frisky felines make also quite effective firestarters, as a new safety review revealed that cats have been responsible for more than 100 house fires in South Korea over the past three years. Equally alarming: Pets are actually responsible for about 1,000 house fires in the United States every year, according to the American Humane Association. The Seoul Metropolitan Fire and Disaster Department reported on Thursday that they’d counted a total of 107 incidents of residential cat arson

‘Grotesquely matted’ dog found near Saginaw County highway, seemingly tossed from overpass

BIRCH RUN, MI — The day after Christmas, a woman out for a walk heard a distressed crying coming from a thicket of undergrowth near a Saginaw County road. Investigating the noise, the woman found the plaintive moans were coming from a dog caked in heaps of filthy, matted fur. Hours of grooming later, the tiny dog revealed itself under the cocooning clumps of hardened fur. Now in foster care and wearing Christmas sweaters, the dog is recuperating as officials investigate how she ended up in such a predicament. The dog was discovered the afternoon of Dec. 26 on Rathbunway

“Cat’s in the bag!” Rescuer fetches nearly 1,000 cats from trees

When I checked in the other day, Adams — who calls himself Cat Man Do Rescue — was finishing Rescue #994 in Woodstock, 60 miles north of his Fayetteville home. It’s beyond the one-hour radius he prefers, but it’s hard to say no to frazzled cat owners. Caption Normer Adams uses his “long grab pole” to fetch a cat that had climbed far up a tree. Woman dyes dog bright red, makes huge mass and sparks debate about coloring pets’ fur

A woman’s attempt to dye her dog bright red went terribly wrong — making a huge mess in her bathroom and staining the walls, floor, and bathtub. Her actions also fueled debate on TikTok about whether or not it’s cruel to color a pet’s fur. Isa Beastly, a designer and hairstylist, said she saw other people dyeing their dogs’ fur on the app, so she decided to try it herself — a decision she’s soon come to regret. She mixed orange and pink dye together hoping to turn her small, wire-haired terrier red, but instead turned animal bright pink and
