    Dog Attack In Edmond Leaves Toddler Hospitalized

    A heartbreaking call to 911 is made moments after a 4-year-old is attacked by a family friend’s dog.  It happened on Monday in an Edmond neighborhood.  After undergoing surgery, the little girl remains hospitalized.  “It’s such a miracle she didn’t lose her life, it was just traumatic,” said Edmond Police Department spokeswoman Emily Ward.       In the call, two women are heard desperately trying to free a little girl from the vicious grasp of a rottweiler, named Cowboy.  The woman nannying for the girl brought her to a home where her mother was dog-sitting.  “So neither the child nor the dog

    HAYWARD, Calif. (KGO) — Wednesday night Alameda County Animal Services took away a pit bull that killed another dog earlier this week and injured a grandmother in Hayward. Authorities confirm that this pit bull has now killed at least two dogs in less than four years. “He sniffed her forehead for one second, she’s still wiggling her tail, and in a split second before I can even grab her, he turned his head, opened his mouth and grabbed her by the throat,” says Yolanda Salazar.     Sick dog dies at Denver shelter, animal protection says

    Denver Animal Protection said a person is pictured dropping off a severely sick, white and brown American bulldog that died in the shelter kennel. DENVER — A severely sick dog died after being dropped off at Denver’s Animal Shelter in the early morning hours of Jan. 21, and animal protection services are trying to identify the person responsible.  The Denver Animal Protection (DAP) said they are trying to locate the person pictured dropping off a sick white and brown American bulldog that died shortly after being dropped off at Denver’s animal shelter after-hours kennel.     Man sicced dog on woman during attack and ignored her cries for help, cops say

    A Lehigh Valley man sicced a dog on a woman during attack, ignoring her cries for help as the dog repeatedly bit her, police said. Frank Cappetta, of the 100 block of Walnut Street in Freemansburg, was arrested Wednesday and faces charges including aggravated assault, a felony, as well as simple assault and reckless endangerment. The 39-year-old Cappetta was being held Northampton County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail. A defense attorney had not yet entered an appearance in the case. Freemansburg police called for a disturbance a little after midnight at Cappetta’s address said they found the victim with
