A video of a small dog running from a police car has gone viral online, and the internet finds it hilarious.
The clip was shared to TikTok by user Garett Koch, known online as Garrettkoch8, and begins with a Yorkshire Terrier sprinting down the middle of a road.
The camera then pans to a nearby police car, whose driver immediately puts on the lights and begins driving after the animal.
The funny footage is set to the 1987 song “Bad Boys” by Inner Circle, which is best remembered today as the theme tune for the TV show Cops.
The video, shared on November 26, is captioned: “Ya bull #DealGuesser #fyp.”
The clip, which can be viewed here, has received more than 6.1 million views and a staggering 848,000 likes at the time of writing.
The footage was also recently reposted to popular canine-themed Instagram meme account Doggosdoingthings, where it has gained a further 613,000 views.
Many people have rushed to the comments section to share their thoughts on the humorous scene.
One social media user, psychmichy55, wrote: “I laughed way too hard at this,” alongside a string of laughing-face emojis.
Another person, Joshua.phthisic, added: “He’s innocent!”
Madi Field observed: “The fact they put on their lights.”
Babygworl typed: “Omg [oh my god] I know his owners are embarrassed about the speed chase.”

Another dog recently also went viral in a video showing him reacting to emergency services, this time mimicking the sound of nearby fire engines.
The golden retriever, whose name is Rigby, resides near a fire station with his owner Hannah West.
She shared the video of him howling along to the sound of sirens with the caption: “The moment I realized living down the street from the fire station might be a problem.”
West told Newsweek: “Rigby has a lot of personality, I’m thrilled I got to share a little bit of him with the rest of the internet.
“We are going to have to reach out to the local fire station and see if their biggest fan can come for a visit!”
