Lots of animals are waiting for “forever homes” at the Yolo County Animal Shelter, 2640 E. Gibson Road in Woodland.

Among is them is Nico (A184035), a male longhaired orange tabby. He is a super sweet and mellow boy who loves chest scratches and food! He is extra shy with new people and will need a family who can give him lots of time to settle in. Nico does great with other cats and is very respectful if they want space. Your patience will be rewarded with a loving teddy bear of a kitten.

Also looking for a good home is Angus (A183865), a 2-year-old male American Staffordshire terrrier mix. He has been in a foster home recently to help him overcome his shyness. Angus enjoys walking but can become interested in squirrels and other dogs sometimes and working on his manners. If you are interested in Angus or any adoptable shelter animals, contact [email protected].

All shelter animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed or neutered.

The shelter is closed to the public for non-emergencies but the staff is available to assist at 530-668-5287 during new temporary hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Monday to Friday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
