Rostraver animal rescue fire leaves about 12 cats dead

About a dozen cats are dead after a fire at an animal rescue facility in Rostraver Township Friday morning. Westmoreland County dispatch says calls came in at around 3:45 Friday morning. Police arriving at the scene stated there was one person inside the structure, but they were able to get out safely.The fire along the 4500 block of Route 51 in Rostraver Township has left Wendi Kraemer, of Angels Journey Home, searching for a new place to house the animals in her care. Kraemer says she was able to rescue or release a number of animals from the burning building; however, not all of them made it outside.Kraemer is asking for help to house animals displaced by fire.
