    Betty White Challenge to help animal programs

    Meals on Wheels of Northeast Ohio is collecting donations in memory of actress Betty White, an animal advocate whose 100th birthday would have been Jan. 17. Through its Wheels for Wags program, the agency delivers free pet food to animal-owning clients in Summit, Stark and Medina counties. The program started nearly 10 years ago when volunteers noticed that many seniors were feeding pets from their own meals.
