By LEANNE ITALIE, Associated Press NEW YORK (AP) — Who will take your pet when you die? The question often doesn’t have an easy answer, especially for ill or older people headed to residential nursing care or assisted living. JAMUL, Calif. —  Seven years ago, Babs Fry was devastated when a pregnant terrier mix dog she was fostering at her Jamul ranch in eastern San Diego County disappeared without a trace. Then she got an email from a professional pet tracker offering some unusual dog recovery tips that blew Fry’s mind. “I lost a dog and was very fearful and didn’t think anyone would be able to catch her. Then I got a call from this woman and I thought she was crazy. But sure enough, 10 days later that dog was in a trap in my driveway.” That

Centerville tweaks stray cat feeding law as part of SICSA partnership, crime, Washington Township, Montgomery County, pets, pet adoption

Centerville does not have an animal control officer and largely depends on volunteers to help control the number of stray cats, officials said. The change was necessary because “we wanted to make sure that behavior was in line with the rules we have as a city,” said Centerville spokeswoman Kate Bostdorff. “I know that they have not pursued charges against anyone since we’ve started the TNR program,” she added. “But people are allowed to knowingly feed as long as it’s part of the city sponsored partnership with SICSA.” ExploreEARLIER: Washington-Centerville library keeps national group’s top rating The city still

Cat & Dog Food Recall: Aldi Recalls Advent Calendars for Pets

Pet Brands Products and Aldi grocery stores have recalled two products for pets. Both Pure Being Cat Advent Calendars and Pure Being Dog Advent Calendars were recalled by the companies in December. The recall was launched because the treats in the calendar present a potential choking hazard for pets. Since it’s an advent calendar, many pet owners may be through the box already. Though, that may not be the case for all pet owners. There are no specific lot

Dog-Eh officially launched online Dec. 3, 2021 in hopes of keeping our canine companions around longer For many families, their furry friend Fido is merely one of the family.
