    South Metro Fire Rescue said the woman’s husband rescued her and dog from the water before crews arrived. CENTENNIAL, Colo. — A woman and her dog were rescued after falling through ice into a pond on Thursday, South Metro Fire Rescue (SMFR) said. SMFR said crews responded to 2810 E. Easter Ave. around 3:19 p.m. The dog chased after some geese about 40 feet from shore and the woman chased after the dog. Both then fell through the ice, SMFR said. The woman’s husband slid out on the ice on his stomach and pulled them both to safety, according to

    Man sicced dog on woman during attack and ignored her cries for help, cops say

    A Lehigh Valley man sicced a dog on a woman during attack, ignoring her cries for help as the dog repeatedly bit her, police said. Frank Cappetta, of the 100 block of Walnut Street in Freemansburg, was arrested Wednesday and faces charges including aggravated assault, a felony, as well as simple assault and reckless endangerment. The 39-year-old Cappetta was being held Northampton County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail. A defense attorney had not yet entered an appearance in the case. Freemansburg police called for a disturbance a little after midnight at Cappetta’s address said they found the victim with

    Marissa Ortega fastened a cellfphone charger into a makeshift leash for her dog, Ellie, before she walked into the emergency room. She’d already lost two animals in the tornado.
