A two-legged Iowa cat named Clem could win $25,000 for a local pet rescue. Clem’s story is in Petco’s Love Stories People’s Choice contest. Clem the cat is a tabby that lost two of his legs to frostbite before he was adopted by Ryan and Lindsey Anderson. Clem was adopted as the Andersons were expecting their first child, but unfortunately, the couple miscarried. Lindsey Anderson says she relied on Clem to get through some of the hardest months of her life. Now the couple is sharing Clem’s inspiring story with others. If Clem wins Petco’s Love Stories People’s Choice contest, the $25,000 will be donated to the group that saved Clem in the first place. Warren County’s Whiskers TNR is an animal rescue that traps and neuters feral cats, which helps prevent overpopulation. They also occasionally put cats up for adoption, which is how Clem was adopted by Ryan and Lindsey Anderson. If Clem wins, Whiskers TNR plans to use the winnings toward building their new facility. Voting is still open here for Clem and the Andersons through Dec. 15. If Clem wins, all $25,000 will go to Whisker’s TNR.
