Winston’s Pet Personals: Please show senior gal Nana some love

Dear Winston,

Hi, I am Nana, a senior black lab female. The shelter staff is guessing I am about 10 years old, as I was brought into the shelter as a stray so they really aren’t sure about my age. I was found dumped in a ditch, isn’t that an awful way to treat an older lady like myself?

When I came to the shelter I found out from the love I received from the wonderful staff that you are never too old to be cherished and appreciated! They treat me really well here. Due to my age I do have some stiff joints but I take a joint supplement every day.

I don’t really run around too much I love to lay on my bed. They are letting me stay in the bookkeeper’s office for now so I am more comfortable! I would love to lay around and watch a good movie with that special someone. I miss not having company all the time. I use elevated feeding bowls as they are easier for me to eat out of. I get along with other dogs and cats as well!

I have a wonderful, strong spirit and I love to be around people. I adore treats and especially the beef flavored dog treats which are the best. Please come down to the shelter and pay me a visit! Thank you Winston.

– Love Nana

Winston says

It was lovely to hear from you Nana and don’t be too hard on yourself, you are only as young as you feel! Those stiff joints of yours just need a nice, warm house and a lot of extra TLC. Readers, what do you think? Don’t you think Nana deserves another chance at happiness? I do! Please come and visit her or call our shelter for more information. Thank you. Good Luck Nana!
